Farmer's Delight is the Minecraft cooking mod by vectorwing that adds cabbages, tomatoes, onions and rice, a Cooking Pot, a Skillet, a Stove and about seventy foods. This page lists every food recipe in it: the 28 Cooking Pot meals, the dishes made on a crafting table, and the feasts you place and serve a bowl at a time.
Every recipe here was read from the mod's own recipe files for version 1.3.4 on Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge), not from memory or an old wiki. Older versions (1.20.1 and before) use the same meals with a few differences in which items count as a vegetable or a leafy green.
We share the name for a reason: Farmer's Delight is also a real kitchen garden site. So next to each meal is the dish it is based on, and further down are five of them written out to cook from your own garden.
How the Cooking Pot works
Crafting it: a brick, a wooden shovel and a brick across the top row; an iron ingot, a water bucket and an iron ingot in the middle; three iron ingots along the bottom. You get the bucket back.
Heat: the pot cooks only with heat under it: a campfire, fire, a lava cauldron, lava, a magma block or the mod's Stove. A hopper between the heat and the pot passes the heat through. Without heat the pot just stores what is in it.
Cooking: put up to six ingredients in the grid, in any order. Most meals take 10 seconds; Tomato Sauce, Cooked Rice and Cabbage Rolls take 5; the Stuffed Pumpkin takes 20. The meal waits in the pot until you give it what it is served in (a bowl, a glass bottle or a pumpkin) in the container slot, or right-click the pot holding one. Cabbage Rolls and Dumplings need no container.

The Skillet and the Stove
Skillet: four iron ingots in a square with a brick under one corner for the handle. Place it on a heat source and right-click to fry one item stack at a time (eggs, bacon, slices), or hold it in your hand: it is also a weapon.
Stove: three iron ingots across the top, bricks down the sides with a gap, and a campfire in the bottom middle. It cooks six items on its top like a campfire and heats a pot or skillet placed on it.
Tomato sauce, from the garden
Makes about 1 quart.
- 3 lb ripe tomatoes (paste types like Roma give the thickest sauce)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, sliced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- A handful of basil leaves
-
1 tsp salt, more to taste
-
Cut an X in the base of each tomato, drop into boiling water for 45 seconds, then into cold water. Slip off the skins and chop.
- Soften the onion in the oil over medium heat for 8 minutes; add the garlic for 1 minute.
- Add the tomatoes and salt. Simmer uncovered, stirring now and then, 40 to 60 minutes until thick.
- Tear in the basil. Keeps 5 days in the fridge or 6 months frozen.
Growing your own: determinate or indeterminate tomatoes and what size pot each needs.
Ratatouille
Serves 4.
- 1 eggplant, 2 zucchini, 1 red pepper, all in 3/4-inch pieces
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 tomatoes, chopped (or 2 cups of the sauce above)
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic
-
Thyme, salt and pepper
-
Brown the eggplant in half the oil, then the zucchini; set them aside.
- Soften the onion and pepper in the rest of the oil, add garlic, then the tomatoes and thyme.
- Return the eggplant and zucchini and simmer gently, covered, 30 minutes. Season.

Cabbage rolls
Makes about 12.
- 1 large cabbage
- 1 lb ground beef or pork
- 3/4 cup cooked rice
- 1 onion, grated
- 1 egg
- 2 cups tomato sauce
-
Salt, pepper, paprika
-
Core the cabbage and simmer it whole for 8 to 10 minutes, peeling off leaves as they soften.
- Mix the meat, rice, onion, egg and seasoning. Put 3 tbsp on each leaf, fold in the sides and roll.
- Pack seam-down in a baking dish, pour over the tomato sauce, cover and bake at 350 F for 1 hour.
Leftover cabbage makes sauerkraut: how much salt it takes.
Fried rice
Serves 2.
- 3 cups cooked rice, a day old and cold
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 carrot, diced small
- 1 onion or 4 scallions, chopped
- 2 tbsp neutral oil
-
2 tbsp soy sauce
-
Heat a wide pan or skillet until very hot. Scramble the eggs in a little oil and take them out.
- Fry the carrot and onion 2 minutes, add the rest of the oil and the rice, and press it against the pan.
- Toss until the rice is hot and toasted, add the soy sauce and the eggs, and serve.
Garden vegetable soup
Serves 4 to 6.
- 2 carrots, 2 potatoes, 1 beet, all diced
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 6 cups stock
- 2 big handfuls of greens (kale, chard, cabbage)
-
Olive oil, salt, pepper
-
Soften the onion in oil, add the garlic, carrots, potatoes and beet and stir 2 minutes.
- Add the stock and simmer 20 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
- Stir in the greens for the last 5 minutes and season.
The mod's kitchen, in a real kitchen
A Cooking Pot is a heavy lidded pot that holds steady heat, which in a real kitchen is a Dutch oven. The Skillet is cast iron. Both last a lifetime.
The mod's Cooking Pot and Skillet are a Dutch oven and a cast iron pan
- Lodge 6-quart enameled cast iron Dutch ovenThe Cooking Pot: stews, soups, sauce, bread. Enamel needs no seasoning.
- Lodge 10.25-inch cast iron skilletThe Skillet: eggs, bacon, fried rice, and it goes in the oven.
- Minecraft: Gather, Cook, Eat! Official CookbookMojang's own cookbook of Minecraft foods, if you would rather cook those.
